Bruce Daley

Assistant Vice president for Planning, Design & Construction

Bruce Daley was appointed Assistant Vice President for Planning, Design and Construction at the University of Florida in March 2026. In this role, he provides executive leadership for the planning, design, and construction of the university’s physical facilities across its campuses and numerous sites throughout the state. His responsibilities include overseeing campus planning, architectural design and engineering, new construction, renovations, and remodeling projects. He also leads the department’s efforts to balance institutional growth with infrastructure needs, intergovernmental coordination, and strong partnerships with neighboring communities and stakeholders.

Prior to joining the University of Florida, Bruce served as Associate Vice President of University Infrastructure, Facilities and Operations at Oregon State University. There, he provided leadership across a broad portfolio that included construction and planning, facilities maintenance and operations, parking and transportation services, motor pool, real property management, insurance and risk management, environmental health and safety, space allocation, and land use.

Bruce earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. Before transitioning to higher education, he built a strong foundation in the private construction industry, bringing extensive experience that continues to inform his leadership in campus planning and development.
